Emilie Laurendeau is currently a third-year Clinical Psychology doctoral student at The Chicago School. She earned a B.A. in Psychology with Minors in Counselor Education and Criminal Justice at The University of South Carolina. Emilie has also earned a M.A. in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School en route to earning a Psy.D.
Emilie has experience working under the supervision of Pediatric Neuropsychologists performing comprehensive neuropsychological assessments for patients ages 4-19. She enjoys working with a pediatric and adolescent population specifically in the areas of pediatric health and development as well treating Feeding and Eating Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety, and Depression.
Emilie has many years of experience providing evidence-based ABA therapy to children and teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder and comorbid diagnoses such as ADHD, Pica, Sanfilippo Syndrome, and chromosomal abnormalities. Additionally, she currently follows Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) approaches while working with female adults in residential treatment for eating disorders with comorbid diagnoses such as Borderline Personality Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Bipolar I/II Disorder and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
