Faye Lessans is currently pursuing her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School in Washington, D.C. She is passionate about helping individuals better understand themselves, navigate life’s challenges, and create meaningful change. Faye believes that therapy is most effective when it is built on a strong, trusting relationship. She strives to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being their authentic selves.
Faye enjoys working with adolescents and adults facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD and executive functioning difficulties, interpersonal challenges, self-esteem concerns, trauma-related difficulties, and life transitions. She is particularly interested in supporting adolescents and adults as they navigate life transitions, identity exploration, and personal growth.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative and draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic principles, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Faye values tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals, and she works collaboratively with clients to build insight, develop effective coping skills, and foster lasting growth and resilience.
Outside of her clinical work, Faye enjoys spending time with family and friends, practicing yoga, traveling, discovering new restaurants and coffee shops, and spending time with her dog.
